LESSON 6: ADVANCED TECHNIQUES

See this content in the original post

Full disclosure: Sketchup modeling CAN be tricky and finicky and sometimes frustrating. I created this chair a few days before I recorded the tutorial, and my result was faster and less complicated. At first, I wanted to cut the video, but I decided to leave the entire video on trial and error for you to see my process. You will most likely get frustrated with drawing a model - sooner or later. You will sometimes have to redo items multiple times. This is why I decided to leave this video in its entirety so you can see that this happens to all of us. You can stop watching video part one at about 28:00 and move on to video part two.

Complex Modeling Techniques

This lesson is probably the hardest one because it takes a little bit of extra thinking on how to find the right curve. Once you understand this lesson, you should be able to create almost any type of shape you see and want to model.
