Lesson 8 - Default Settings vs. Default Sets

What are Default Settings?

Default Settings are elements and details that are formatted into a plan or layout file that will impact the full model or drawing sheet.

Per the image to the left showing the Default Settings for a PLAN file, include most everything that may impact the modeling process, design, and efficiency if used correctly.

Default settings are also the key to building company-wide templates.

To find this menu you:

Edit > Default Settings

What about Default Sets?

Default Sets are collections of annotation-based settings that impact how scaled 2D views are formatted when sent to a Layout file/drawing sheet.
