LESSON 3: THE DENISE BED

Complex bed with padding and a cutout shape

Most of the beds will be fairly easy to build. I chose Denise Bed from Kristin Drohan to show you how to use a simple SketchUp command and cut shapes out of a model. We will also use a very amazing plugin, Soap Skin to create a padded fabric headboard. And finally, I will also show you how to use Fredo6’s ThruPaint to create seamless textures on curved surfaces.

TOOLS USED:

  • SOAP SKIN

  • OFFSET

  • THRU PAINT

  • INTERSECT FACES
