SKETCHUP PRO 3D MODELING

for interior designers

Learn how to model lighting and furniture and more in Sketchup.

Thank you so much for buying this course!

I am so excited that you want to improve your furniture and fixture modeling skills. As an interior design, rendering, and drafting professional, I value being self-sufficient, and these skills are crucial in my line of work.

Although I have been using SketchUp for over six years, I never took the time to learn how to create complex tables, chairs, or light fixtures. Instead, I relied on the 3D warehouse to download similar models. However, I soon found this to be frustrating. I strive for accuracy in my renders, and many of my clients wanted to showcase the exact furniture items in their final renderings. As a result, I made the decision to learn how to model most items myself. I spent hours watching tutorials and practicing, and now I am sharing what I have learned with you.

My hope is that the tools and video tutorials I am sharing with you will provide the information and resources you need to model furniture on your own in the majority of cases. Of course, you can always download items from the warehouse to save time when it comes to modeling plants, accessories, pillows, and so on. These tutorials are specifically for those situations where you cannot find a similar enough model in any of the 3D libraries.

Let me know if you have any questions or need further assistance.

Note:

Lessons are taught on a PC - but here is a tip for MAC users. I most often refer to 'ctrl' to create a copy, in MAC, this would be 'option'.

Tip: On Microsoft Windows, you use Shift, Ctrl, and Alt as keyboard shortcut modifier keys. On Mac OS X, you can use Shift, Control, and Option keys as modifiers.

Please use the reference card below if you are unfamiliar with the program yet.
